Description | ||||||
Content | A walk in the snow, a long drive to Cradle Mountain or simply looking up at the sky. Capturing these shifts creates some form of memory, how one’s perception is manoeuvred within different spaces at one time. Like an afterimage, the motion of something that is still, captures a fast yet in depth existence of an object or the subject of a picture, allowing a moment of depiction. It develops a vague imagery of the subject and as it shifts onto a different space, it interrogates that other space, acknowledging the lingering image to exist. Motion in Stillness is a projection of a lingering image, connecting the sensitivity between self, memory and perception. | |||||
